Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Tech Transfer (STTR) contracts and grants at UC Berkeley involve working with a small business on a research project where UC Berkeley is the subcontractor to the small business. In this workshop, we will explore the SBIR/STTR program, how UC Berkeley researchers have participated in projects, the process for working with a small business on an SBIR or STTR project, and intellectual property developed with this funding.
