Collaborations and Research with Companies
Sponsoring research means providing funding to the University of California, Berkeley for use by a researcher or research team on a particular scope of work. UC has a template agreement for review, and we are glad to discuss how an agreement can be constructed to meet the needs of the situation.
Faculty submitting a proposal to a company to conduct research, or who have approval from a company to conduct research should submit a "Proposal Review Form," or read about the process for submitting a proposal, or information about IAO's role in executing agreements. You may also read about Conflict of Interest in research here.
There are other options for working with the University, including joining a membership program, providing a gift to a particular research project, or engaging in other collaborations. Contact our office for more information.
